Our Philosophy
A different way of understanding dog care
At Hygge Paws we understand that every dog is an individual, with their own personality, history, needs, and way of relating to their surroundings. That's why our goal is not to keep dogs busy all day, but to offer them a space where they can feel safe, understood, and calm.
We observe their communication and respect their pace. There are moments for walking, exploring, sniffing, and socializing, but also for resting, observing, or simply being. Not all dogs need the same thing, nor do they have to take part in the same activities.
We work from a place of respect and emotional wellbeing, avoiding methods based on fear, intimidation, or imposition. Faced with a behavior, we try to understand what the dog needs or is communicating, rather than simply correcting it. And because a calm environment is also part of wellbeing, we welcome a maximum of 3 dogs per day. This allows us to truly get to know them, support them individually, and adapt the routine to how they're feeling that day.

We have a short introduction — a walk or at home — to get to know each other and see if it's a good match.

You'll receive photos and updates during the day. I'm always available for any questions.

- We consider each dog individually before introducing them to the group.
- We want every dog to feel safe and manage their surroundings calmly.
- We adapt groups to each dog's personality, needs, and learning pace.
- If a dog needs individual support before joining, we will help find the best path.
- We always prioritise emotional wellbeing.
